Short Bio

Chris is one of the co-founders at Needlestack and has been working in design and marketing for more than 20 years. Since the turn of the century, Chris has been a business partner at a couple of award-winning design and web firms and also has experience working for other agencies.

Chris graduated from North Carolina State University in Textile Design. He lives near Greenville with his wife and four kids. He enjoys watching NC State basketball and football, classic cars, traveling to National Parks and spending time outdoors with his family on their small farm in the foothills of SC.

First Job

I learned the value of hard work early on in life. My first job was working at a family friend’s turkey farm when I was around 12 years old. I started out earning $2.50/hr and saved every penny of it. I purchased my first vehicle with the money I earned while working there.

Favorite Team

My dad graduated from NC State around the time of their first National Championship in Basketball. I followed in my Dad’s footsteps and also graduated from NC State. While being a State fan has sometimes been a tough gig, lol, I remain a die-hard, NC State basketball and football fan. Go Pack!

Obsession?​

I currently own 3 Volkswagen buses. All campers. 1966, 1971, 1987. I’ve had 7 in all. People either think that is really cool or that I’m a complete nut. Both are probably true.

Best Vacation​

I did a 7-month trip around the US in one of our VW vans before landing in Greenville, SC in 2007. My travel companions were my wife and our oldest son, who was 2 at the time.

Best Pet(s) Ever

My wife and I had 2 Great Danes. They were best friends to each other, full of personality and all-around awesome dogs. Yes, they sat on the couch with their feet on the floor. Yes, they ate a ton of food.

Fun Family Facts

I love to travel and love the outdoors. All my (4) kids are named after National Parks. First and middle names. We’ve been able to tour most of these parks with our kids and hope to visit them all someday.
